How to Make Cascarones: Colored Eggs for Easter Filled with Colored Confetti

How to Make Cascarones: Colored Eggs for Easter Filled with Colored Confetti

I checked out a couple of sites, and like this explanation the best. You can use the "Koolaid" method of coloring eggs. (that I previously posted)To glue on the tissue paper, I use a paintbrush that I've dipped in white glue. This can be diluted with a bit of water. Just brush on the glue around the opening of the egg, place the tissue paper over the hole, and use the paintbrush to tap it down.

White washcloth

I love this cotton yarn. I've made dishcloths, and now a washcloth. It is so soft on the skin.

Heart shaped dishcloth

Heart-shaped dishcloth.

Plastic Scrubber dishcloths

This dishcloth starts off with a plastic scrubber. I made one in white, and now one in yellow. The recipients say they are too pretty to use on dirty dishes.

Potholder

I love this pattern. Very easy and you crochet the ring first.

Polka Dot Apron

Made the most amazing apron for my daughter.....She sent me a photo and I copied it.
Took me months to find the exact fabric. Found it at Hancock Fabrics.

Sewing Caddy/Canister

I saw this handy sewing canister at my quiting class, and at a quilt show. I liked the concept, but decided to tailor it to my own needs. I made attached pockets on the outside, instead of flapping pockets, and kept the inside pockets the same. I also added a pincushion for pins and another to attach my sewing needles. I also made slim pockets for quilting pencils, small ruler, seam-ripper, and other items I need while sewing. I don't really have a pattern, other than eyeballing the measurements. I had one redo, but all in all I had a blast making this.

I'm going to make some of these for Dia de los Muertos! with calaveras and Frida, of course.
